In 2015, we began our first adult classes under our sister studio Elite Dance. Our goal was to share the enchanting world of dance with adults on the Central Coast, offering a dedicated class tailored exclusively for adult learners. I designed this class to create an environment where adults could experience the joy of dance without feeling like an extension of an existing teenage class. Essentially, I crafted the class I had always dreamed of attending as an adult, hoping that others would share that same love for it.
Over the years, our adult program has flourished, expanding to include multiple ballet classes, jazz, tap, contemporary, and even pointe. We are immensely proud of the vibrant community we’ve nurtured, and our passion for providing a space where adults, regardless of age or ability, can embrace the world of dance remains as strong as ever. We’ve had the privilege of teaching individuals who have never danced before, those who had childhood dreams of dancing but never had the chance, and adults who were forced to give up their dance as they grew up. We’ve taught adults of all ages and skill levels. We’ve witnessed new friendships blossom and old ones rekindle. Teaching our adult program has truly been a source of immense pride.
As our community has continued to grow, it seems only fitting to bestow upon it a distinct identity, one separate from Elite Dance. We are thrilled and deeply honored to introduce the Adult Dance Collective. While it will continue to offer the same cherished classes you already know and love, this new chapter in our journey presents us with an exciting opportunity to expand our offerings and focus wholeheartedly on delivering exceptional adult dance experiences.
The Adult Dance collective is the Central Coast’s very own exclusive adult dance studio – providing a home for adults to pursue their dance journey in a range of different disciplines. We offer introductory classes, through to advanced classes and have the option of our students working towards their RAD Ballet exams and performing with our sister studio Elite Dance.
